Home wiring is a major problem for IPTV Telcos, Satellite TV Broadcasters, Cable Operators and DVB-T broadcasters that want to robustly stream their IP-based HD video content around the house to multiple TV screens. Typical carrier applications are: IPTV residential gateway to Set Top Box connectivity and Multi-room DVR stored content distribution. Wire based solutions are either very costly due to lack of existing infrastructure (Ethernet), not ubiquitous enough (Coax) or prone to interference from household appliances (PLC). WiFi has always been the “Holy Grail” of home networking due to its cost structure, flexibility and ease of deployment and this is where Celeno comes into play.
