Customer’s Challenges
Cost effectively achieving robust and comprehensive mobile TV and digital TV coverage is challenging: legacy equipment is adequate for implementing the main, high-power sites, but is cumbersome and expensive when addressing the medium- and low-power sites that form the basis of modern Single Frequency Networks (SFNs).
Our Offering
Channelot’s transmitters and repeaters are single-box, fully-integrated implementations of the complete television transmission site. They are the ideal tool for providing coverage wherever legacy broadcast equipment is either inadequate or prohibitively expensive, be it dense metro centers or remote, rural areas. Our Channelot 100 transmitter, for example, integrates into a single 2U shelf a DVB-S2 satellite receiver; fiber and copper IP interface options; a GPS receiver; a DVB-T/H SFN/MFN exciter, and an advanced, adaptively pre-corrected 100W HPA, all seamlessly managed by web or SNMP. A software add-on for local content management enables efficient distribution into regional SFNs. Higher power levels, up to 1 kW, are available through modular add-ons.
Other products from Channelot include the Channelot 101 integrated CMMB transmitter and Channelot 105 on- channel, state-of-the-art echo-canceling repeater.
